Using the Light Table to trace words makes it so easy to
get the words onto the fabric. This design came from
one of my favorite books Heartwarming Expressions
by Sandy Redburn...Artwork by Suzanne Carillo and
Shelly Ehbrecht. I made this for my husband and he
smiled. I used a Pigma Micron .08 black pen to trace the
design. I heat set it with an iron and machine quilted
around the letters. It didn't take very long to make and it
made my husband smile (really big).
Tip for making tracing easier is
to iron a piece of freezer paper
to the back of the fabric. This
stabilizes the fabric and helps
make writing smoother.
Tape the paper pattern to the
Light Table so that it doesn't
shift while tracing. Then place
your freezer paper backed
fabric on top of pattern and you
are ready to trace.
